Snowshoeing is a ton of fun! When snow conditions on the Lake itself permit, it is a good spot right out the back door. Additionally, we have spent time on the following trails:
North Country Trail (link)
America's longest national scenic trail stretching 4,600 miles from New York to North Dakota, and it runs within 5 miles of Lake Nebagamon! There are multiple trail heads nearby, so you don't have to take the same trail twice.
Afterhours Trail (link)
2.2 or 0.8 mile loops through the Brule River State Forest.
Old Bayfield Road Trail (link)
2.25 mile trail travels eastward down a hill past some old copper mine sites, and then climbs a scenic ridge to pass near the Clevedon fire tower.
